Let's go to the Movies

So not only is it the 1st December but its a new challenge on By the Cute and Girly, Let's go to the Movies and don't forget we're looking for all kinds of craft not just card making. I was making my nephew he's Birthday card when I realised this would work too, Jungle Book. All the images are High Hopes Stamps and once again I've used a recess card that was a tutorial on Papertake Weekly by Claudia some time ago. The papers are Cosmo Cricket, hope J likes it.
I was a bit stuck with this challenge when I came to do a bit of Scrapbooking but I scrolled through my photos till inspiriation struck not sure my BIL and Hubby would agree. When I saw this photo I thought of the old movie The Odd Couple although I've never seen the film but I remember slightly the TV show of the movie. The papers are from a Scrapagogo kit, love that I open a kit with the right colours and its all there for you.
Janet was showing us how to Iris fold a photo and another lightbulb moment I could use the photo because Tossa de Mar was the location for the 1951 film Pandora and the Flying Dutchman starring Ava Gardner and James Mason. The papers are K&Co and the netting is from a pack of Onions, which was laying around waiting to go out to the bin (which is outside and it was raining) its held down with brads.
Do pop over to the challenge blog the DT had much better ideas than mine.

Oh Debby these creations are just stunning from your beautiful Jungle book card to the two layouts. Love the idea of the fishnet you created from the onion bag and of course that iris folding with the photo is out of this world. Would love to learn how to iris fold a photo as I just love the technique ... perhaps you can share the tutorial of iris folding a photo.
